Monika studied international development, with a master in sustainable leisure and tourism. In the past two years, she worked for a Dutch NGO, aiming to improve the quality of and access to vocational education in the east-African region. As a program officer she facilitated north-south partnerships between schools, businesses, the public sector and NGOs, to strengthen vocational training in diverse areas such as Agriculture, ICT and Tourism & Hospitality.  She became inspired by the power of education and public-private partnerships to foster long-term transitions. At the hub, she is looking forward to learn about innovative solutions to social and ecological challenges. As Monika has recently relocated to Switzerland, she is spending most of her free time learning Swiss German, enjoying the spectacular landscapes, social life and various sports.
