Whatever happened to us when we were very young and totally dependent, leaves deep traces and impressions in our personality. Unsatisfied and excessively satisfied needs alike lead to behavioral patterns, prevention strategies, preferences and coping mechanisms that can be part of our life for years or decades.

The Inner Child is a concept that can be grasped and explored by the application of various tools. Understanding the Inner Child and understanding the context of old injuries, shortcomings, tedium and trauma creates the freedom to heal and satisfy the Inner Child. And by doing so, old coping mechanisms can be released, setting free a lot of bound energy.

During the workshop we will explore the following aspects:

– Unsatisfied and over-satisfied needs, desires and wishes of the Inner Child
– Involved third parties and their contribution
– Derived coping and protection mechanisms
– Derived beliefs and convictions
– Connections between present behavioral patterns and Inner Child

Using the powerful timeline tool, you can either start in the past, exploring the situation of the Inner Child and moving forward to the present day, figuring out how present behaviors are connected to the Inner Child’s situation. Or you can start with typical patterns and preferences today and follow their story and development back to their roots. And the timeline is also used to explore future strategies and actions in order to heal and satisfy the Inner Child, building a strong and healthy relationship with it.

During the practical part of the workshop you will assume the role of either coach, coachee or silent observer in order to experience the application and effect of the coaching tools and process.
