Digital Privacy - What have you got to hide?

Digital Privacy - What have you got to hide?

From government mass surveillance programmes to Facebook's latest scandal, our privacy has been a recurring topic for years. We all leave a digital footprint, but we're not entirely sure how much of our personal data is available and who has access to it.

With the EU's General Data Protection Regulation around the corner, and the new Swiss government surveillance law in effect, it is a good time to review this topic and discuss your concerns.

  • What is your data worth?
  • How private are your emails and messages?
  • What have you got to hide?
  • And if nothing, should you even care about digital privacy?

Andy Yen is the CEO of ProtonMail, the world's largest encrypted email service. Andy was a scientist at CERN, is a TED Speaker, and part of the referendum effort that allowed Swiss citizens to vote on the new surveillance law. He will discuss these topics and answer our questions at the next YPG Zürich event.

The event will include a light Apéro and networking.
