New Sihlquai location opens in prototyping mode

By now, you have probably heard that we have been expanding and opening a new building. In real start-up mode we decided to not wait till everything was finished, but go out and prototype. So, what many don’t realise yet – we are open for business as of now.

Last Friday May 22, the offices of former Colab Zurich at the Zentralstrasse (now Impact Hub) closed its doors. At the same time, the new location at Sihlquai 131 opened hers. And starting this week, people have begun working in the new space. To make it short - it's amazing. We all feel at home already. And you as an Impact Hub member can feel at home here too, just stop by and start coworking. If you are not an Impact Hub member (yet), don't worry - we'd love to give you a warm welcome anyway, so everybody - just stop by and say hi.

Lots of things have happened over the last few months. A ton of planning went into this new space, and it starts showing. We finished building parts of the vast location, and it looks great (we think :)). We have one area designated to our residents, there is an area for our nomads and other coworkers, we have a beautiful meeting room on the top floor and we have a temporary creative space for coworking and drinks in the adjoining building (Sihlquai 125). Also, it might help you find your way around here, it really feels like a small campus with different areas for different activities.

Speaking of activities - we start hosting events and meetups again shortly, so make sure to read the description of the events carefully - we now have three different locations in Zurich alone and we don't want you missing anything because you went to the wrong one.

A lot has happened already, even more is going to happen. Until September (subject to change), we will finish reconstructing the first floor, attic and the new café located on the ground floor of Sihlquai 131. We are currently choosing materials, painting, constructing, planning and simply having tons of fun doing so. And trust us, this will show. The new location at Sihlquai will be a place to feel comfortable, to be creative, productive. And if you need an energy boost in the summer, the river is right next to us, so bring your bathing suits!
