In African Philosophy, there is a saying called Ubuntu, meaning "I am because we are." We only exist in relationships with others. Like a community, an engaged stakeholder network can multiply the influence of our work. What stakeholder networks do we operate in? What are the expectations of key players? How can we positively influence them? A proactive systemic approach to stakeholder engagement nurtures our relationships and helps us achieve the common vision.

Learn to:
a) Map Stakeholder Landscape: The journey starts with knowing who our stakeholders are and understanding the expected nature of the relationship.

b) Define Engagement Model: After mapping the stakeholder in an interconnected landscape, we can define a systemic model of engagement based on interest, influence, and mutual expectations.

c) Determine Nudging Techniques: Nudging is a behavioral economics method developed by Noble-prize winning Richard Thaler. Rather than pushing stakeholders, we can positively influence them by gentle nudging.
