Join us for the pre-event, Understanding the Problem, First Step for Solutions, where Climate Fresk by AdvantiKA meets Climathon at Patagonia Arch. This interactive session is designed to deepen your understanding of climate change and prepare you for the upcoming Climathon Zurich 2024. Through a fun yet scientific and creative workshop, we will use the Climate Fresk model to build a shared understanding of climate dynamics, discuss insights, and kickstart creative solution-building for sustainable futures and cities.

This pre-event will be hosted in English for up to 40 participants in subgroups of 8 participants in 4 groups + observers.

1. Introduction & Climate Fresk Building (15:00-16:40)
   • Welcome, people introduction and basics about Climate Fresk with a touch of conscious leadership
   • Interactive group activity using the Climate Fresk model.
2. Break (16:40-16:55)
   • Refreshments and networking.
3. Debrief (16:55-17:30)
   • Sharing of key feelings, discussion learnings and reflections.
4. Solution Warm-Up (17:30-18:30)
   • Drawdown based ideation for potential climate solutions, setting the stage for Climathon Zurich 2024 four challenges:
     • Culture of Change: How can culture and art catalyse for climate action
     • Flying less, easy! How do we turn land-based travel into the new normal?
     • Keep cool: How can we empower Zurich citizens to adapt to the intensification of extreme heat?
     • Employees for Change: How can we empower employees to drive impactful sustainability initiatives within their companies?
5. Closing Remarks (18:30-18:45)
   • Your Take Away before going into Climathon.
