CDC Thursdays

CDC Thursdays

The first Thursday of every month, the Circular Design Circle (CDC) meets to connect and learn.

Join us at 18:30 at Impact Hub CoLab, Sihlquai 131, 8005 Zürich. You can just show up; no registration is needed.

18:30ish arrival
Drinks and connecting on the group floor at Café Auer

19:00
Speed Learning session in the Loft Corner room: Someone presents a ‘circular design insight’. The focus is on ‘how this might help you with your circular design practice, how you can avoid common traps, how you can learn from my mistakes, etc’. Examples:
- A practical learning from a recent project
- A failure
- 3 takeaways from a ‘circular design’ report, recent event, etc

20:00ish
‘Mycorrhizal networking’: Arrange bilateral meetups and/or meet new members at one of the monthly gatherings. We imagine this could make it easier for you to catch up than bilaterally arranging many lunches and coordinating calendars with other members.

About the CDC
The CDC is a community of people that are dedicated to the circular economy transition and passionate about circular design. It is at home at the Impact Hub Zurich and open to anyone. Join us - whether you have design in your job title or not - as long as you are interested in
- Sharing of hands-on methods and tools
- Sharing of knowledge & experiences
- Inspiration
- Connecting with other practitioners
- Helping to build the circular design ecosystem

Why?
Our vision is that Switzerland is a thriving circular design hotspot. Like a forest, we are an abundant circular design ecosystem where the trees and life forms are synergistically connected. We are exchanging nutrients and information to flourish as a community.
Together we are designing a circular, regenerative reality.

How?
The role of the CDC on this journey is to
- strengthen the circular design practice, methods and community
- create spaces, gatherings and free community workshops on circular design to exchange insights and best practices.
- use design as a force for positive change.
