Located in the basement of Kraftwerk Zurich, the Unterwerk is an urban event space where living-room vibes meet club energy. Dark walls, warm lighting accents, LED installations and a disco ball create an intimate, dynamic atmosphere that evolves with every event.

With approximately 94 sqm, the Unterwerk accommodates up to 200 standing guests or 150 seated. It is ideal for DJ sets, concerts, corporate events or private parties. Fully equipped with professional sound and lighting, DJ equipment and an integrated bar, the space is ready to use and can be tailored from cosy to full club mode.

The Unterwerk can be booked directly online here. Please note: as an Impact Hub Member, you get access via the app, priority booking, preferential rates, and access to the Impact Hub network. You can find an overview of our memberships here.

The club can be booked from Monday to Wednesday between 8:00 and 22:00, and on Thursdays and Fridays from 8:00 to 24:00. On Saturdays, due to potential cultural events – similar to the Kommandoraum – the space can only be reserved one month in advance. For bookings outside regular opening hours, the presence of a host is mandatory, even if no bar service is required.

Staffing includes two bartenders, a cloakroom host for events with more than 150 guests, and a weekend host. Security and entrance staff can be added on request for an additional fee.

The rental includes a sound system with two 18-inch Outline subwoofers and four Outline tops, as well as the option to connect a laptop or a phone. The lighting setup is also included and features basic lighting, two scanners, DJ booth lighting, two disco balls, and an LED art installation. Additional technical equipment can be added for a flat fee of CHF 500 and includes two CDJ-3000 players, a Pioneer DJ DJM-V10 mixer, and a fog machine including fluid. Up to six additional spotlights can also be booked at CHF 60 per unit (maximum of six units).

The booking time does not include setup or preparation time. We guarantee that the space will be ready as booked at the start of your reservation. If you require preparation time, please adjust your booking period accordingly.

Cancellations are free of charge up to 15 days before the event. After that, cancellation fees apply. Details can be found in our Terms and Conditions.

We are happy to support startups and non-profits that share our values. We offer discounts ranging from 25% to 100%. You can submit a request directly to zurich@impacthub.net. Important: processing a request can take up to two weeks, so please submit it early.
