About the Workshop:
Sammy El Ghazzal will start with a brief introduction to machine learning, aiming to define the scope of the field. He will then spend some time talking about deep learning, defining what it is and giving intuitions about why it works and why it's a challenging field. To conclude, we will learn how it is like to work in the industry as a machine learning engineer. The second part is lead by Maria Vrakopoulou, who will give us a closer look at the current power systems and explore machine learning applications to the field. Are you curious? Level of knowledge of you as a participant:
If you are an enthusiast of the topic and have a basic knowledge of Mathematics and Probabilities, you are welcome to join! Although we won’t go deep in the math, some technical points will be discussed in a broad level. Don’t be afraid, you don’t have to be a Computer Science engineer.
