Gender reversal, do we know what that means? Isn't it simply when roles are reversed?

Counting sex is about whole numbers (how many women, how many men), but gender is a dynamic concept that defines norms, behaviours, identities and how those are (or are not) valued in a culture. However, something profound is happening around gender, whether we choose to see it or not. We are surrounded by “evolving notions of what it means to be a woman or a man and the meanings of transgender, cisgender, gender non-conforming, genderqueer, agender, or any of the more than 50 terms Facebook offers users for their profiles.
