Community Co-Budgeting 2021 – Selected projects

In the context of the IHZ Community Co-Budgeting, the community selects 4 project ideas that will then receive CHF 2'500 each for implementation. After the co-budgeting editions in 2019 and 2020, the 3rd Community Co-Budgeting took place at the Summer Community Assembly of June 24.

Silke with “Empower Women in Tech World”

My idea is to empower women in the tech world! With our company we would like to encourage girls already from a very young age to invest in STEM (MINT) activities in order to choose a technical career in the those subjects. We see that women are extremely underrepresented in technical position, also in political decisions which are important for the stability of the society!
I would use this incentive in setting up the implementation phase of my idea to reach out to other organizations, universities and stakeholders- make it deep market analysis and moreover, to reach out to foundations in order to set up the company, to hire an office and to hire people - to spread the word and make the idea reality!

Vlad with “Kung Fu for the Community”

Our member Vlad, who’s already training at the Kung-Fu Schule Martin Sewer (just across the street from Colab), would like to offer Kung-Fu sessions to the coworking community.

Capitano Music with the “Capitano Talent Journey”

Capitano Talent Journey and Impact Hub Zürich will fresh up/restart cultural community life at auer & co cafe, promote young talent and showcase easy music licencing for the impact hub community.

Capitano Talent Journey will produce together with Impact Hub team 3-4 small gigs, showcase music talents of various genres in order to certify exquisite musical taste at www.capitano-music.ch and Impact Hub ????. One recorded Song from every Showcase-Artist will be published and promoted on all Impact Hub and Capitano Channels.

As an added benefit all showcased acts can be booked for your business and private events and songs can be licensed for your campaigns, tv spots, digital trailers etc. directly @capitano team. Fyi The music business is usually a complex construct of rights holders, service catalogs, labels, publishing rights, technical riders, and competition clauses. Capitano deals don't cause headaches, only a smile.

Jeffrey with “Climate Collage”

Climate Collage is a 3h workshop or "serious" game about the IPCC reports. You leverage the collective intelligence of a team of about 6 people to assemble the cards into a coherent whole and discuss levels of action. It is a powerful tool to raise everyone's awareness about the causes and consequences of climate change with 167,000 participants so far.

I propose using the 2500 CHF to kick-start a partnership with Climate Collage, where coworking members can participate for a reduced rate (5 CHF), access the facilitator training also for a reduced rate and in exchange IHZ provides rooms to run the workshops on site for members and for the general public (within some limits). In other words, make Impact Hub a Climate Collage Hub: a fantastic opportunity to have a good time, learn something, network with other members and seed new discussions.
